The Chisinau City Hall explained the reasons for the blockages witnessed in public transport on a number of streets in Chisinau, in particular on the section of Moscova Blvd between the streets Nicolae Dimo and Miron Costin and on Alexandr Pushkin St. It said the blame is borne by drivers who illegally park vehicles by the roadside.

“The Electric Transport Company, in cooperation with patrol inspectors, every morning intervenes to ease traffic. Nevertheless, some of the trolleybuses deviate from schedule, by up to an hour,” the municipality said in a press release that is quoted by IPN.

The municipal authorities of Chisinau call on the drivers not to park the cars by the roadside on January 17 and 18 so as to enable the snowplows to work and extend the available roadway.
