Chisinau Municipal Council must solve 1.5 thousand petitions submitted by the Center for Information and Documentation of Citizens
About 12 thousand persons addressed to the Center for Information and Documentation of Citizens from the City Hall of Chisinau city during 2 months. The head of the Center, Vladimir Popa says that 6.6 thousand of them solicited oral information, and others were already negatively or positively solved according to the legislation in force. During this period, the majority of petitions were addressed to the Land, Architecture and Urbanism, Trade, Public Alimentation and Servicing, Urban Regime Control Departments.
According to the head of the Center, about 1.5 thousand citizens did not receive yet an answer from the local authorities because the majority of issues are related to the landed field and the decision-making competences in this respect belong to the Municipal council. The last meeting of the councilors took place at the beginning of August. At present only the meetings of specialized Commissions are organized and the date when CMC will assemble is not known.
Vladimir Popa said that the citizens come to the center with problems which are not under the jurisdiction of the local authorities, for example increasing allowances and wages.
The Center for Information and Documentation of Citizens was inaugurated on July 13, initially 5 desks were opened. Afterwards, 4 new desks were opened, including one for the Communal Department and one for the Municipal Magistracy.
The Center is located on the first floor of the Mayoralty.
