The mayoralty of Chisinau municipality will cooperate with Lubuskie Province, Poland. The interim mayor Vasile Ursu concluded an intention protocol with the head of the Lubuski Province’s Seim, Andrei Bochenski, visiting Chisinau together with a delegation. According to Bochenski, the aim of the visit is to establish cooperation on the basis of which Poland could share its European integration experience and prepare citizens for this integration. The Polish official considers that our country has chances to join the European Union (EU) at the next accession wave, after Romania and Bulgaria. He noted that in Poland there are many businessmen interested to set partnership relations with Moldovan. Thus, representatives of 3 large companies from Poland, viticulture and vegetable-related, are visiting Chisinau. In the protocol concluded on Wednesday in Chisinau, the parts agreed to prepare and coordinate the draft of the Cooperation Agreement between Chisinau municipality and Lubuskie Province, which will be signed after implementing internal procedures. The parts also agreed to organize meetings of Moldovan and Polish businessmen, and the leadership of Lubuskie Seim will provide strategies for certain representatives of Chisinau, studying the practice of raising European funds. The protocol, prepared in Romanian and Polish, as well as in Russian, which is the working language, was concluded for 1 year term.
