A man from Chisinau faces a long jail term for ordering the murder of his sister-in-law in order to come into possession of the parents’ inheritance, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the culprit was in conflict with his brother and his wife because they could not come to terms as to how to divide a building and the business inherited from their parents. In January, the woman was attacked in the street by an individual wearing a balaclava. He stabbed the woman several times and ran away. The 33-year-old woman remained alive owing to a passerby who called an ambulance.
The man who ordered the murder, the intermediary and the attacker were remanded in custody. The prosecutors finished the investigation and sent the criminal case to court.
