Chisinau hosts bilateral consultations on Partnership for Peace
During March 10-12, Chisinau is hosting consultations on the Partnership for Peace Planning and Review Process (PARP) and on the Republic of Moldova-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), Info-Prim Neo reports, citing the Ministry of Defense.
In this period, representatives of MoD, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Interior Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Border Guard Service, the Security and Information Service, and of other government agencies, will discuss with the PARP/IPAP expert team the package of objectives assumed by the Republic of Moldova under the Partnership for Peace Program, as well as the implementation of IPAP’s military component.
The consultations agenda includes the analysis and assessment of all the objectives under the partnership, which refer to a number of activity areas of the national army; formulation of the consolidated position of various government agencies on the implementation of IPAP’s military component; formulation of proposals to be submitted to the National Commission for Implementing Moldova-NATO IPAP.
In addition, the consultations will address such issues as the ongoing Military Reform, civil control over the armed forces, and other.
