Chisinau councilors go on vacation
The Chisinau councilors go on a 1-month vacation. They will return on September 11 for the next ordinary sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The president of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Eduard Musuc, told a news conference on Wednesday the CMC had a break since most of the councilors were leaving for vacation.
According to Eduard Musuc, during a month of him being the CMC president, the Chisinau Council approved more decisions than during the first half of the year.
“If while Mihai Ghimpu headed the CMC, it considered over 600 drafts, than during the presidency of Eduard Musuc, 800 draft decisions were considered,” Eduard Musuc said. According to him, the first step to unblock the situation within the CMC was made in terms of “considering the citizens' stringent issues.”
The CMC president hopes to increase the incomes of the local administration after auctioning municipal assets. “We're going to attract hundreds of millions of lei into the municipal budget in such a way as to make the local administration independent administratively and financially,” Eduard Musuc said.
According to him, everybody will be able to watch the CMC's sessions in a special room in the City Hall starting from fall and on the Internet.
