Chisinau councilmen seek audience with Premier Vasile Tarlev
The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will ask Premier Vasile Tarlev for an audience to discuss the issue concerning heating supply in the municipality by Termocom Company.
The initiative comes from the Social-Democratic faction leader, Eduard Musuc. CMC chairman Mihai Ghimpu accepted to ask the Premier for an audience when the Social-Democrats have left the sitting hall and conditioned their return to issues concerning land privatisation on arrangements for this meeting.
Mihai Ghimpu stated that all faction leaders have to attend the meeting with the premier. The CMC has to ensure heating supply to the Chisinau residents, but the Government bears an equal responsibility for this issue, the cited sources mentioned.
CMC recalled last week the 540-leu tariff for the heating supply. Before the tariff was abrogated, Termocom’s financial manager, Vitalie Morii, stated that a decision to come back to the old tariff would have a financial impact on the heating supplier. If such a decision is made, Termocom will lower the temperature set up for December at 80-82 degrees down to 35-40 degrees, Morii added.
On Friday, December 7, deputy mayor Igor Lupulciuc denied the rumours that Termocom has suspended hot water supply in many blocks of flats in Chisinau, while in others it has lowered the heating temperature.
