The employees of the Chisinau City Hall Tuesday started work with a delay of over two hours owing to a bomb scare. The bomb threat turned out to be false. The police announced that the author was identified.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the employees were allowed to enter their offices after the bomb squad completed the examination and found no explosive device.

A detainee of the penitentiary located in Soroca, who was sentenced to 18 years in jail for murder in 2011, is questioned in connection with the phone call made to the police last night. The man faces a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years in jail for misinforming the police about the act of terrorism.
