Chisinau City Hall announces measures to reduce effects of thermo-energy crisis
The Chisinau City Hall has worked out measures aimed at alleviating the effects of the thermo-energy crisis generated by the halt in the natural gas supply to Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the local public administration.
The City Hall ordered that the outgoing temperature of the heat be reduced to about 65 C0, while the ingoing temperature to 45 C0 and that the gas be replaced with alternative fuel - crude oil – including at SA Termocom.
During the next days, depending on the development of the events, the hot water supply could be halted. The City Hall also ordered that the movement of the water in the heating pipes be insured continuously if the fuel is used up so as to prevent the freezing of the heating system.
The City Hall calls on the residents of the municipality to save the gas and electric power so as the available energy resources are enough for a longer period of time in Chisinau and outside it.
According to the City Hall, on Wednesday afternoon, after Ukraine stopped the gas supplies, Moldova had natural gas reserves sufficient for two days and crude oil supplies enough for 10 – 12 days.
