Chisinau benefits of 900,000 lei for creating waste collecting places
The National Ecologic Fund (FEN) approved partial financing of a project of the Chisinau mayoralty for creating 36 waste collecting places. In order to implement this project FEN will allocate 900,000 lei, and the rest of money, about 1 million lei – the local budget.
The head of The Department for Evidence and Control within FEN, Elena Creanga, said that until concluding the contract with FEN, the mayoralty shall present detailed information about the addresses of waste collecting places, as well as the list of works that shall be done for every objective apart. Lacking this information, FEN will not sign the agreement with the mayoralty, as finishing the works FEN intends to make controls in order to evaluate them, to see if the expenses were operated appropriately.
According to her, the budget of the project plans purchasing 100 waste-collecting bins, building the platforms for them, fencing the territory, additional renting of 40 transport units for transporting the waste special designed places, previously these were transformed into unauthorized garbage spots. The project also stipulates purchasing and planting of 10,000 trees and bushes in order to re-fit these places.
