Chisinau municipality’s Covid alert level has been raised to “red”, meaning an incidence of over 250 new cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days.

In particular, the National Agency on Public Health said the incidence in Chisinau was 459 cases per 100,000 residents.

The neighboring district of Ialoveni, south of Chisinau, has also crossed the red alert threshold, with an incidence of 260.

Six administrative units have been assigned “yellow”, as the rest are on “orange”.
