The report produced by the company Kroll will be made public when the investigation bodies allow this to happen, Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici said in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.
“The given report will be transmitted to the investigation bodies that will further examine this case. If we publish the report now, the persons involved in the theft committed at the three banks can find out particular information and this would be to the detriment of the investigation,” said the Premier.
Chiril Gaburici informed that he received the Kroll’s report in the evening of April 16. “The report contains many technical details such as how and where the money was transferred and who signed the invoices. This is valuable information that will help the investigation bodies find the culprits and the stolen money,” he stated.
The Premier noted that the financial situation in the country is very difficult. “I hope we will reach an agreement and will sign the accord with the IMF. Otherwise, we will have to economize a lot and to take painful measures. We will have to resort to layoffs and to give up making important investments in the economy,” stated Chiril Gaburici.
On April 15, after Minister of Education Maia Sandu asked that the Kroll’s report should be made known, the Prime Minister said this report will be made public after the Government’s meeting of April 22.
