Chiril Gaburici in Brussels: Moldova wants its European perspective to be recognized

The recognition of Moldova’s European perspective will help mobilize Moldovan society in the reformation process and will motivate to make radical changes needed for the country’s sustainable development, which could be painful at first, Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici said in a meeting with European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn in Brussels, IPN reports.

The Premier noted the European integration is the Moldovan Government’s key objective. The team he heads is committed to ensuring the dynamic implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU, and the European partners’ support in this respect matters.

Commissioner Johannes Hahn underlined the importance of continuing ensuring real progress in doing reforms and confirmed the European Union’s readiness to strengthen its support in different areas.

The officials underlined that the March 16 meeting of the Moldova – European Union Association Council is an excellent occasion for agreeing concrete measures to achieve the objectives from the European integration agenda and to promote important reforms for developing the country.
