A consignment of medical equipment consisting of protective suits and medical gloves was provided to Moldova by the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation at Moldova’s Embassy in Beijing. The equipment costs 500,000 Yuan, which is the equivalent of 1.3 million lei.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Pan Feng, the president of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation, said the provided assistance confirms the relations of friendship that exist between the Republic of Moldova and the People’s Republic of China. Both of the countries offered reciprocal assistance in the crisis situation, in the fight against the current global pandemic.
Moldova’s Ambassador to China Denis Jelimalai expressed his gratitude to the Chinese side for the generous gesture that is full of compassion for those who are in the frontline in the fight against the virus in the Republic of Moldova.
In concert with Moldova’s Embassy in China, the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation in 2019 organized two business missions to Moldova that involved over 15 Chinese companies interested in the investment potential and export possibilities of Moldova.
