In Chisinau, parents will be able to enroll their chidden at kindergarten online starting with September 1, 2017. The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport and the e-Governance Center on July 19 launched the electronic platform www.inscriere-gradinite.md where children can be registered online at 130 kindergartens, IPN reports.
When filling out the application online, the parents will be warned that they should choose a kindergarten located in the district where they live. If they get a negative answer because of unavailability of places at the chosen kindergarten, they will be able to pick a kindergarten situated in the vicinity.
If the child is admitted, the parents will be notified of this and will be able to submit online the necessary documents. Ultimately, they will get online the acceptance notification, which can be printed and presented to the kindergarten’s director. Through the agency of the platform, the parents will access information in three languages and will see if free places at a particular kindergarten are yet available as well as the list of registered parents, not yet the identity of the child. The platform can be accessed nonstop from any country.
According to the acting head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Alexandru Fleas, the switchover to online registration will enable to increase transparency and reduce possible risks and to maximally exclude the human factor from this process.
e-Governance Center technical director Iurie Turcanu said the launch of this system forms part of the society digitization plans. This is the second cooperation project of the e-Governance Center with the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport. Earlier, there was implemented an online system for paying kindergarten frees, which covers about 80% of the kindergartens in Chisinau municipality. The platform launched today could be extended to enable the registration of first graders, with small adjustments.
There are about 20,000 children who are to be admitted to kindergartens until 2019.
