Chamber of Commerce to celebrate 105 years of founding by festivity on Oct. 20

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Moldova on October 20 will stage a festive ceremony at the Palace of the Republic to celebrate the 105th anniversary of its founding. The institution represents the business community in the dialogue with the central and local public authorities and the interests of this in international cooperation through the agency of cooperation agreements signed with similar entities of over 80 countries, CCI president Sergiu Harea stated in a conference held to launch the information campaign “For 105 Years We Have Together Developed Businesses”, IPN reports.

Sergiu Harea said that besides the solemn meeting that will involve members of the CCI, there will be mounted an exhibition of national producers and ensured an exchange of opinions and experiences between entrepreneurs from Moldova and other countries so that the Moldovan entrepreneurs are known in the country and outside it.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also stage three exhibitions in Romania to promote national goods on the market over the Prut. On October 24, the Indagra Food exhibition will involve about 20 national companies. Baia Mare will host an exhibition entitled “The Republic of Moldova Presents” on October 27-29. Traditionally, there will be mounted “The Republic of Moldova Presents” exhibition in Iasi, on November 10-12.

As part of the same campaign, a Moldova-Estonia Business Forum will be held for entrepreneurs from the two countries to establish partnerships, to attract investments and promote exports from Moldova and Estonia. Discussions with partners from Israel will be organized to attract investments and promote exports to this country. Together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the CCI will stage a business mission of national producers to India, with participation in the exhibition World Food India 2023.

Sergiu Harea noted that all these events are designed to enhance the competitiveness of national companies, to increase the society’s involvement in economic development so as to strengthen the national economy for this to meet the current challenges, including the regional and international crises related to the war in Ukraine.

Today, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova has about 1,200 members in all the country’s regions, including the Transnistrian region.
