Chairs of foreign affairs committees of the Baltic and Nordic (NB8) parliaments will pay a visit to Moldova from March 31 to April 1, IPN reports.

According to the program of the visit, the officials will meet with President Maia Sandu. In Parliament, they will have meetings with MPs and committee chairpersons.

The discussions will focus on topics related to regional foreign policy, security and the challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova in the process of joining the EU.

The program also includes discussions with civil society. On Tuesday, the European officials will go to ATU Gagauzia, where they will meet with representatives of local public authorities.

The Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) is a regional cooperation format that brings together eight states: Lithuania, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Norway and Sweden. Its area of competence includes current regional and international issues.
