For five hours, the infrastructure of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and also the governmental infrastructure have been subject to cyber-attacks that show adaptability and resistance to the taken actions. Nevertheless, the attempts have been identified and blocked, IPN quoted CEC vice president Vladimir Șarban as saying in a press briefing.

He noted that the bomb threat in the polling station in Frankfurt am Main turned out to be a hoax. The German police examined the area and didn’t find anything suspect. Voting was resumed.

The CEC said over 1.4 million people voted by 6pm, which is over 48% of the electors. More than 202,000 electors cast their ballots at the out-of-country polling stations and approximately 14,000 people voted at the polling stations intended for Transnistrian voters.

Fifty-three persons voted at the polling station in Baku and this was closed as was the polling station in Russia’s Surgut. Long lines have been now reported at a number of our-of-country polling stations.

Polling stations are open until 9pm, but their program can be extended by two hours, if necessary.
