CEC guidebook details financing of election campaign
The Central Election Commission (CEC) in concert with national and international experts has worked out the Political Party’s Guidebook on the financing of the election campaign for the April 5 legislative elections. The guide includes the most important aspects of the financing of the election campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The book explains how to open the “Election Fund” bank account, specifies the categories of incomes that can be used in the election campaign, the cooperation between the political parties and the CEC in financing the campaign and what sanctions can be imposed on the political organizations that do not observe the legislation, a communiqué from the CEC says.
The guidebook is available on the Central Election Commission’s website http://www.cec.md/i-ComisiaCentrala/userimages/upload/ghid_pp.rar
The book was devised with the technical assistance of the Joint Project of the European Commission and the Council of Europe against corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing in the Republic of Moldova (MOLICO), co-financed by the European Commission, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and the Council of Europe.
