C.C.A. registers wire TV operators on left bank of Dniester river
The electronic media watchdog CCA awarded on March 14 a broadcasting licence to a wire operator, which will work in the Cosnita commune and Parata village on the left bank of the Dniester river.
CCA awarded a licence to the limited society Tehnic-Service which will work in these localities.
CCA member Arhip Simion Cibotaru has saluted the intention of the enterprise, noting that the activity of the wire operator will be like a bridgehead for penetration of true information in the Transnistrian region. There is an acute need of alternative information on the left bank of the Dniester river, he added.
Tehnic-Service manager Eugen Cibotenco said that there is only one wire TV administrator in the region - TV Sheriff.
Also, CCA awarded a broadcast licence to a new wire TV operator that will function in the Briceni city. CCA has also approved the agreements of some enterprises for rebroadcast of foreign programmes and changed the conditions of some broadcast licences. CCA also annulled the broadcast licences of 2 wire TV operators based in Telenesti and Falesti.
CCA publicly warned 5 wire TV operators for violating the conditions of broadcast licences and ordered them to report what they have done to eliminate the shortcomings until March 31 in written form.
