European bank Mobiasbanca has participated as a partner and guest at the European Union Sustainable Energy Week organized for the second consecutive year in Moldova, aimed to enhance energy efficiency, to promote the usage of renewable energy sources and to modernize the country's energy infrastructure.

In cooperation with the Moldovan Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (MoSEFF) and Residential Energy Efficiency Financing Facility (MoREEFF), Mobiasbanca presented the main projects aimed to support energy efficiency investments in Moldovan enterprises and in the residential sector in Moldova.

In 2013, Mobiasbanca signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) - MoSEFF II, benefiting from a facility in the amount of EUR 10 million for on-lending to private companies undertaking energy-saving measures and investing in renewable energy projects.  Thanks to effective and sustainable collaboration, CB "Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale" S.A. has become a reliable and strategic partner, being the only bank in Moldova benefiting from credit lines of International Financial Institutions.

The advantage of the credit for energy-efficiency projects, a product offered exclusively by Mobiasbanca on the market, consists of grant component of up to 20% of the loan, contribution provided by the EBRD and the European Union. Among other benefits of this loan are: long period of investment financing - up to 5 years and technical assistance from international experts provided by free.

Through MoSEFF, Mobiasbanca has financed 32 projects of Moldovan companies, totaling EUR 9,234,588, with the following destinations: replace old production and heating equipment, renewable energy projects, investments in ventilation and conditioning systems, insulation, rehabilitation and replacement of boilers, renovation of electricity distribution and heat, installation of solar water heaters.

More than 195 individual householders were financed by MoREEFF program, in total amount of EUR 377,764, in order to retool heating systems and thermal insulation, reduce heat loss, with the ultimate goal of optimizing energy costs.
