Causeni District Council concerned about destabilised relations with Romania
The Causeni District Council is deeply concerned and strongly disapproves the anti-diplomatic actions by the government of Moldova, which have lead to the deterioration of relations with Romania, a Declaration released by the Council on Friday reads.
The Declaration quoted by Info-Prim Neo adds that the worsening of these relations also affects the nature of our historical connection to the same community of nations, language and culture, and jeopardises our social and economic cooperation interests within the EU’s neighbourhood programmes.
According to the authors of the Declaration, the aggressive actions of the Communist government are disturbing not only the relations with the neighbouring country, but also bear the danger of sparking conflicts among the Moldovan society. This state of affairs concerns us very much and determines us to urge the government to refrain from destabilising the situation any further and to redress the effects of the prior actions, the Causeni district councillors stated.
