The Ministry of Defense has confirmed a case of theft at the National Army. The responsible institutions were informed about it and a criminal case was started. The institution’s reaction comes after information about the theft of military property appeared in the public sphere, IPN reports.
“An administrative investigation was carried out into this case by representatives of the Military Command of the National Army. All the collected materials were transmitted to the Buiucani Police Inspectorate, which started a criminal case over stealing of military property,” said the Ministry.
According to the institution, the stealing was identified in the process of vacating-filling the post of unit commander. The Buiucani Office of the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office was notified if this case. The Ministry cooperates with the investigation bodies and will offer the necessary assistance so as to elucidate the circumstances of this case.
