The carts, sleds and other vehicles pulled by animals will be registered in accordance with the standard regulations approved by the Government. The registration tax will be set by the local authorities, but cannot exceed 40 lei, IPN reports.

Under the regulations, the vehicle must be registered before it starts to be used. The owner will have to file an application for registration, the identity card, a statement on how the vehicle was acquired and a proof that the registration tax was paid to the local authority.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said the registration of vehicles pulled by animals is a European practice.
