Car drivers, driving with dark windscreen and front windows, risk paying a fine and will participate together with the road inspectors to the process of tearing off the dark papers. Road police of the capital will start an operation in this sense next days.
The inspector of road security, administrative supervision and public relations service, Ion Roscovanu, reported that next days it will be held the operation „Shady place”, which stipulates identification and detaching of dark windscreen and front windows. The operation, Ion Roscovanu said, is based on the provisions of the art.122, point E of the Road Regulation, stipulating that „it is forbidden to dark the windscreen and lateral windows or placing some objects diminishing the visibility”.
According to him, the car owners with dark lateral and back windows could have some troubles as well, if they do not have driving mirrors. The operation starts next days, Ion Roscovanu noted.
On Tuesday, the inspectors of the capital made 304 reports to drivers violating road rules. Thus, by 19 reports were made for car technical situation and excessive speed, by 80 for unregulated manoeuvres and ignoring semaphores colour, 9 for drunk drivers and also 9 to pedestrians passing unregulated the streets. The inspectors registered 14 car accidents, and one of them resulted with victims.
