Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprancean won two medals at the European Under 23 Canoe Sprint Championship that was held in Belgrade, IPN reports.

The Moldovan canoeists won gold in the 500m race and silver in the 1,000 meter race. Ilie Sprancean is 22, while Oleg Nuta is 20. They are both trained by Belarusian coach Viktor Reneiskii, who is an Olympic champion.

At the start of June, Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprancean won silver at the World Cup in Belgrade.
