Moldovan canoeists Daniela Cociu and Maria Olărașu ranked seventh at the Paris Olympic Games. The athletes scored 1:56:96 in the final of canoe double 500m, IPN reports.
In canoe single, the canoeists were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the 200m race. Daniela Cociu achieved the result of 48:93, ranking third in heat three, while Maria Olărașu ranked the last but one in heat two, seventh, with 52:03.
At the Tokyo Olympics, Victor Reneiski’s pupils also ranked seventh in canoe double.
