The candidates for mayor of Chisinau should understand the art of management. The future mayor is expected to do concrete things and to realize people’s concerns, said mayors invited to the talk show “Issue of the Day” produced by Canal2 channel, IPN reports.
Mayor of Budesti commune Nina Costiuc said all the candidates for Chisinau mayoralty should understands that the art of management implies three things – is based on the law, directs people and they will not always hold the post. “So, the aspirants for mayor general of the capital city should know the laws and obey them and should have a rich experience of life and realize that they will manage people,” stated Nina Costiuc, noting the people now can no longer be manipulated.
Mayor of Cricova town Valentin Gutan noted the voters learned not to believe in programs that can be implemented not even during 100 years. Some of the programs of the candidates are realistic, while others cannot be put into practice. The people wait for concrete deeds from the future mayor. “Chisinau does not need a politician. It needs a good administrator, manager, a person who would deal with the problems of the citizens and will be able to intervene. There should not be important and less important problems so that the people feel the mayor’s care for the inhabitants of the city,” said Valentin Gutan.
Budesti and Cricova form part of Chisinau municipality and the mayors of these have held office for over 20 years.
The new mayoral elections in Chisinau municipality will take place on May 20 this year.
