The candidates for office of President of the Republic of Moldova will be able to spend at most 18.925 million lei in the elections. The figure represents the general ceiling of financial resources that can be transferred to the “Electoral Fund” account, as the CEC decided on September 1, IPN reports.

The Central Election Commission also set the ceiling of funds that can be transferred to the bank account “Intended for the Initiative Group” in support of the candidate for President in the November 1, 2020 presidential elections. This way, the initiative groups will be able to spend at most 994.250 million lei for collecting signatures.

The electoral authority decided that the interest-free loan to contenders running in this autumn’s presidential elections will be of at most 50,000 lei.
