New local elections will be held for the position of mayor of Calugar Commune, Falesti District. The election will take place on May 18, 2025. The decision was approved by the Central Electoral Commission.

The election will be held under the circumstances that the mayor elected in the general elections was deprived of the right to hold a public office or a position of public dignity, including the position of mayor, for a period of three years.

On May 18, 2025, new local elections will also be held for the position of mayor in Chiperceni Commune, Orhei District, as well as elections for a new composition of the Temeleuti village council, Floresti District.
