The employees of a state dental clinic based in Cahul town – three doctors and two persons holding administrative posts – are investigated for using expired tooth preparations and for other illegal activities, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, during investigations at the clinic the police identified an illegal scheme for appropriating money used by the doctors. They didn’t register all the money earned from providing dental services and included false data about the prices of services in the accounting documents. In 2010-2013, the clinic’s administration illegally collected leave payments and salaries of 108,000 lei.
The investigated persons face a fine of up to 20,000 lei. They will be also banned from holding particular posts or carrying out particular activities for a period of up to five years.
