Cabinet approves Andrei Galbur as Ambassador to Russia
The Government has approved a presidential decree nominating Andrei Galbur as Moldova's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca said that Andrei Galbur has served in the Moldovan diplomatic service since 1995 and advanced to the post of head of the Department for International Organizations. He served on two diplomatic missions, in Vienna at the Moldova's Representative Office to the OSCE, and then as Minister-Counselor at the Moldovan Embassy in Washington.
Iurie Leanca said he is confident Andrei Galbur will successfully fulfill the duties in his new post.
In the context of appointments, Prime Minister Vlad Filat announced that Nicu Popescu has been appointed senior state adviser on public policies and European affairs, and Victor Lutenco, who previously served as senior state adviser on social matters, has been appointed head of the Diaspora Office.
