There are 85 fitness grounds that are being fitted out in the capital. They are to be put into operation by the end of October. The head of the General Directorate for -Communal Housing and Planning, Ion Burdiumov, announced that at the working meeting of the City Hall, reports IPN.

The manager mentioned that the development of the playgrounds and fitness grounds in the municipality of Chisinau started in 2017. Since then, 121 fitness grounds have been arranged, of which seven in the suburbs. This year, 5.2 million lei were allocated for such grounds.

At the same time, from 2017 up to now, 247 children's playgrounds have been fitted out. They have a surface area of 10 meters by 12 meters, being paved with river gravel. For the development of playgrounds this year, the amount of over nine million lei was allocated.

Ion Burdiumov appealed to the tenants to bear responsibility, jointly with the authorities, for the preservation of the grounds. And this is due to the fact that for example in Botanica sector, such a ground was set on fire. Law enforcement officers have identified the perpetrators, and now the ground is to be restored at their expense.
