Business entity disconnected from water supply for debts of 1.2m lei

A business entity that manages a number of commercial units in Chisinau on November 2 was disconnected from the water supply because of debts of about 1.2 million lei accumulated since 2008. Moreover, after the previous disconnections performed by employees of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC), the company illegally connected itself to the supply again and again, IPN reports.

ACC foreman Dumitru Dobrojanu said that in the course of October the company illegally reconnected itself for seven times. Most probably, it happened at night and dwellers confirmed this. The illegal reconnection is evident as a piece of a different material was added to the polyethylene pipe.

Viorica Andronovici, coordinating engineer of the disconnection group, said the business entity was sued, but this does not fulfill its obligations even if there is a court judgment. The company refuses to communicate with employees of ACC so as to come to terms and agree a debt payment schedule.

As the company didn’t pay for services and repeatedly reconnected itself to the water supply illegally, it will have to pay penalties as well.
