Bus routes changed
Chisinau authorities changed some bus routes in order to improve the quality of service, and as well as result of new „MAN” buses purchasing, informs Info-Prim Neo referring to a press release of the Mayoralty.
According to the press release, starting June 13, 2006, the route nr 3 will make the connection between the Grenoble and Balcani Street and circulate, in one way, on the street Grenoble (central office), street Valea Crucii, avenue Dacia and further on the settled route. Its back way is the same route. 12 «MAN» buses will serve the route. At the same time, route nr. 5 „ Cuza Voda Blvd. –N. Milescu-Spatarul street” will be served by 10 buses, 6 of them type „MAN”, and the route A „Central Bus Station – Airport” will be served by 2 „MAN” buses. Concomitantly, the traffic of the buses on the route nr 19 „ Cuza Voda .bd –Studentilor” street is re-established, and will be served by 8 buses.
According to the order of the interim mayor, Vasile Ursu, the route of the bus nr 10 on Doina Street to Gratiesti village, Prieteniei Street was also extended to Vasile Alecsandri Street, and besides the existent stations other two were installed, in Gratiesti village. Extension of the route was made as result of a petition of the mayoralty of Gratiesti village.
According to the same order, Urban Bus Company will elaborate the schedule for the circulation of buses and will set indicators at the stations, and General Public Transport and Communications Department will make changes in the public transport network according to the provisions of the order.
About 100 buses work daily in Chisinau municipality.
