The bus route A that goes from the Chisinau International Airport to Calea Iesilor St was extended up to Vatra town of Chisinau municipality. Thus, starting with March 21 the residents of Vatra will be able to travel by bus through the center of Chisinau up to the Airport.

Contacted by IPN, director of the Urban Bus Company Iacob Capcelea said the bus route that reached Vatra was suspended in 2010. A number of minibus routes were then introduced and the number of passengers who travelled by bus decreased significantly. The route was restored at the request of residents, in particular of socially-deprived persons and parents whose children go to school in Chisinau.

Iacob Capcelea also said that a preliminary schedule was set for the Airport – Vatra route. Thus, the first bus will set out from Vatra at 6:15am, while the last one – at 7:10pm. From the Airport, the last bus to Vatra will set off at 5:50pm. The buses will travel between the two termini for 12 times a day.

A ticket costs 3.5 lei. Those who have season tickets can use them to travel gratis by this bus route.
