The Bureau for Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of Home Affairs started to examine the legality of the stay of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova given the rise in the cases of violation of the rules of stay, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry says that a number of violations of the rules of changing the domicile/residence address were identified in the recent past. The goal declared when obtaining the permit of stay is not respected and the time limit for renewing or extending the permit of stay is not met.
Recently, the Bureau for Migration and Asylum fined with 6,000 lei two citizens of the EU for working in the absence of permissive documents. The persons, who were in the Republic of Moldova on a temporary basis, were obliged to leave the country and were banned from entering the country for a period of three years. The business entity where the two foreigners worked faces a fine of 7,500 lei for illegal employment.
