Bulletproof vests, body cams and portable transceivers prohibited for civilian use during rallies

Civilians attending mass meetings will be prohibited from wearing bulletproof vests, multi-functional tactical belts and vests, body cameras and portable transceivers, as decided by the Commission for Exceptional Situations. The use of corporate symbols during such public events has also been banned.

By the same decision, the sale of uniforms and distinctive insignia of civil servants with special status and of the military is prohibited, except when procurement is initiated under the Law on Public Procurement, or at the request of civil servants.

On energy matters, the Commission extended the authorization of the state company Energocom to buy electricity through direct negotiations until September 2023. Also, Termoelectrica has been exempted from paying VAT on up to 132,000 tonnes of fuel oil, to be used for electricity and heat co-generation. The forestry agency Moldsilva will limit the sale of cordwood to 5 cubic meters for households and 200 cubic meters for non-household consumers.
