Budget of UE4 Moldova project to be raised

The budget of the UE4Moldova project will be increased by over €138,000. The project is designed to strengthen the capacity to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the institutional capacities for implementing the Moldova – EU Association Agreement, IPN reports.

The Government on Wednesday approved a draft decision on the initiation of negotiations and the amendment of the Financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission for implementing this project.

Moldova will get the money in grunt funding from the World Health Organization, the Central Project Management Agency, the Lithuanian Development Agency and Expertise France.

The Financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission was signed in October 20, 2020. At that moment, the non-reimbursable financial assistance under the agreement was €9 million.
