The 2024 state budget revenues on June 30 were executed at the level of 31.3 billion lei, while the expenditure - of 37.5 billion lei. Thus, the budget deficit was about 6.3 billion lei, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry, the sources for covering the deficit included the positive net financing ensured by state securities issued on the primary market, and loans disbursed by foreign creditors.

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Ministry of Finance’s report on the execution of the national public budget and its components in the first half of this year. The document contains information about the revenues, expenditure and budget balance, as well as other relevant data.
