The good news is that the Moldovans afford to spend more money on consumption monthly. The average monthly consumption costs of the population in the second quarter of this year were 2,379 lei per person, up 5.9% compared with the same period last year. It is yet bad that about 75% of the costs went on food, dwelling, clothes and footwear. The other costs were incurred for culture, education, recreation, health, presents, trips and other things that form “the world’s corolla of wonders”.
