A man asked for €18,000 from two people to help them get hired as foresters at the Strășeni Forestry-Hunting Enterprise. The individual was fined 300,000 lei and the money he received was confiscated, IPN reports.
According to prosecutors, between May 2016 and January 2017, the convict asked for and received money, promising to influence public figures of the Strășeni Forestry-Hunting Enterprise and "Moldsilva" Agency.
In May 2016, the convict asked for €10,000 from a man to ensure his employment. In January 2017, he asked for €8,000 from another person with the same promise, but the promise was not fulfilled because the position of forester was already filled.
The Strășeni Court found him guilty of influence peddling, but the convict did not admit his guilt. In order to ensure the execution of the sentence, the court seized immovable property belonging to him.
