Border Police opens a Canine Training Center for service dogs

The General Inspectorate of the Border Police is opening a modern canine training center for service dogs, IPN reports.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the German Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and GIZ Moldova, aiming to strengthen the intervention capacities of the border police.

"The Canine Center will be a key pillar in training canine teams, enhancing the ability to detect threats at the border," said Border Police Chief Ruslan Galușca at the launch event.

"Through this collaboration, we aim to support the development of a high-performance structure for training service dogs," stated Caroline Schröder, liaison officer at the German Embassy.

The new center will include modern facilities for housing and caring for the dogs, a specialized training ground, and laboratories dedicated to improving training methods.
