The bomb threats reported at the Parliament, Presidential and Government Buildings on June 7, while protests were mounted by supporters of the Democratic Party in Chisinau, turned out to be a hoax.
Mariana Bețivu, General Police Inspectorate press officer, has told IPN that no explosive was found in the buildings as a result of checks. Measures are being taken to identify the person who called 112 to report the bomb planting.
If the caller is identified, this will face up to two years in jail.
