A bomb hoax was reported at the Supreme Court of Justice this morning. A person at 8:40am informed that explosive devices had been planted inside the court. The expert services carried out searches, but didn’t find anything suspect, Svetlana Scripnic, press officer of the General Police Inspectorate, has told IPN.

The employees and civilians who were inside the building were evacuated and the police cordoned off the area. A bomb squad examined the building and the environs.

Officers of the Crime and Investigation Division of the Buiucani Police Inspectorate ordered a number of measures aimed at identifying the author of the hoax.

The Chisinau Police Division said that legal action was taken over intentional misleading about an act of terrorism. The caller faces a maximum fine of 42,500 lei or 180 to 240 hours of community service, or a maximum jail term of two years.
