The Chisinau International Airport was the target of a false bomb threat last night. Ilona Railean, acting head of the Strategic Communication Section of the General Border Police Inspectorate, told IPN that the call was received at 11:08 p.m. on December 25.
"Intervention teams of the Border Police, together with the specialized security forces, were mobilized to manage the situation and ensure the protection of passengers, airport staff and all the persons inside the terminal," said Ilona Railean. Flights were resumed at around 01:30 a.m.
