Bogdan Țîrdea and Igor Munteanu about positions of PSRM and ACUM

The Pastry of Socialists and the bloc ACUM remain for now on the earlier stated positions concerning the voting of bills in Parliament. The bloc ACUM insists on the own offer and says the bills aimed at de-oligarchizing the state can be voted without forming a parliamentary majority, while the PSRM says this cannot be done and institutional instruments should be created first. The positons of the PSRM and ACUM were explained by Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea and ACUM MP Igor Munteanu in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

Bogdan Țîrdea said the PSRM agrees to fight oligarchy, but insists on the fact that this should be done within the limits of the rule of law, which is after the Parliament Speaker is elected and after the legislative bodies are formed so as to have the instruments needed to rule together with the bloc ACUM.

Bogdan Țîrdea expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the bloc ACUM proposed its own candidates both for Parliament Speaker and for Premier and the PSRM is supposed to support these candidates without becoming involved, which is not fair. “You do not come to our meetings. You suggest being allowed to form the whole government, holding the posts of Prime Minister and Speaker, but we should stay in the opposition and vote all your proposals. Does this seem rational to you?” asked the MP. He noted the biggest problem in the communication with ACUM resides in the mechanism.

Igor Munteanu reproached the Socialists for not including legal aspects and the fight against oligarchy in their last offer. Furthermore, the bloc keeps its position not to form a coalition with the PSRM because the differences between the two entities are very big. The PSRM and ACUM could yet jointly vote technically.

The MP also said the bloc ACUM insists on the resumption of the inaugural sitting of Parliament so that discussions on a parliamentary platform could be held. Also, ACUM insists on the earlier presented package of de-oligarchization bills that can be voted in the absence of the Parliament Speaker and of a parliamentary majority.

The Party of Socialists invited the political bloc ACUM to discuss the formation of a parliamentary majority, constitution of the government coalition and investing of a functional government for Moldova and its people on April 11, starting at 11am, in hall No. 508 of the Parliament’s annex.
