Bird flu kills five youths in Azerbaijan
The avian influenza has killed five youths in Azerbaijan. Four victims resided a village in the south-east region of Azerbaijan, while the fifth lived in a western town.
According ti the World Health Organisation, the H5N1 virus killed the victims but it is unknown so far whether they got infected from dead or living birds.
There are no signs in Azerbaijan, which is located between Europe and Asia, where the bird flu has killed many persons, that the virus was transmitted from human to human.
At the same time, the Pakistani authorities have confirmed that the bird flu virus was discovered in two bird farms. Egypt has reported that a human is suspected of suffering from bird flu. Meanwhile, U.S. experts estimated that the bird flu epidemic will hit America by the end of this year.
