The submission of bids for the first tender for the construction of wind and photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 165 MW closes on March 31. The photovoltaic parks will have a total capacity of 60 MW, while the wind farms - 105 MW, IPN reports.
Bids are expected to be opened on April 1 at 09:00.
These parks will contribute to Moldova's commitment to provide at least 30% of its electricity consumption from renewable sources by 2030.
Investors will be guaranteed the purchase of the electricity produced through a 15-year purchase contract to be signed with the central electricity supplier, the Energy Ministry says.
At the end of 2024, 580 MW of power generation capacity was installed in Moldova.
