A number of program services providers on July 3 were penalized by the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) for not obeying the broadcast schedule approved by the Council. The BCC also decided to inform the law enforcement bodies about the illegal retransmission of TV channels in Cahul district so that those to blame be punished.

Lilia Gutu, consultant of the Council’s PR Service, has told IPN that two program services providers from Chisinau and Basarabeasca were fined 1,800 lei, while another six distributors, from Chisinau, Criuleni, Cantemir, Ialoveni, Hancesti and Taraclia, were warned publicly.

It was established that VTV Media SRL based in Vulcanesti town illegally retransmitted TV channels in the villages Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Burlaceni of Cahul district. The police will be informed about this case. The Council also warned the suppliers about the necessity of strictly obeying the approved broadcast schedule.

In the same meeting, the BCC endorsed the Government Decision concerning the approval of the strategy for integrating the national minorities of the Republic of Moldova for (2015-2020).
